A Community of Giving
In 2010, a group of dedicated parents, faculty, and administrators founded Alta Vista School. By working together to maximize resources and their talent, Alta Vista has grown and in 2018, graduated its first class.
Today, Alta Vista’s students thrive as creative thinkers, innovators, and catalysts for positive change in the world at our two campuses. Our community continues to come together each year to generously support and grow the unique learning environment that makes our school special. Charitable contributions from parents, friends, and staff allow Alta Vista to continue to grow and provide the very best programs for our children.
When you make a contribution of any size to AVS, you are joining a community of parents and friends who help ensure that we can provide each child with an extraordinary educational experience.
Please visit the Annual Fund page for more information about those programs. You may also contact the Development Office with any questions.
Your tuition covers all of our planned education activities and operational expenses. As teachers and students explore where their curiosity takes them, new needs arise, and the Annual Fund allows Alta Vista School to respond.
Donations from the Annual Fund are used as the “icing on the cake” to provide our teachers and classrooms with additional materials and resources to provide an extraordinary educational experience for our children.
The Annual Fund sustains a diverse scope of programs, including everything from academics, the arts, and athletics, to technology and outdoor education. It also supports our talented and dedicated faculty by providing opportunities for professional development. Your support to the Annual Fund allows AVS to provide exceptional programs that go above and beyond to make your student’s experience extraordinary.
We ask every family at AVS to support the Annual Fund.
A Capital Campaign is a springboard to Increase the impact Alta Vista School has on its students and community. (Unlike the Annual Fund, these campaigns are launched only when there are capital projects and can encompass several years.)
Capital projects address the fact that exceptional teaching must take place with excellent tools, including classrooms that accommodate the latest technology and space to climb, play, learn, and gather. These projects are the foundation for a sustainable future.
Middle on Mission is Alta Vista School’s Capital Campaign effort. To learn more, contact AVS Director of Development Yukiko Meadows.
