Students focus on strategies for
communicating and understanding
language by putting their Spanish
skills into practice. Throughout these courses, students will focus on the four key areas of foreign language study: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
The courses have been carefully aligned to national standards as set forth by ACTFL
(the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages).
All classes are conducted primarily in the target language with a goal of helping each
student become a competent communicator.
Across all levels, students will study the vocabulary and patterns of the language and practice them through engaging conversations and real-life experiences. Spanish Intro through Spanish 4 advanced courses are offered. Levels are determined by a Spanish placement test results, current Spanish course enrollment, classroom assessments, & teacher recommendations.
