Lower School Honors Diwali

During Monday's Morning Meeting, we honored Diwali as Kaamna Bhojwani-Dhawan, mother of two of our students, began our week by reading a beautiful poem that expresses the hope we all need and can gain when focusing on the light and good in the world. A few fourth grade students made a slideshow that taught us about the history and significance of Diwali as well as how it's celebrated around the world. The event ended with lively Bollywood dancing, led by Kaamna and her children. Thanks to parent volunteers Nandita Borisov and Namrata Malik for providing delicious chai and samosas for parents and teachers.
