Third Grade Presents on Women's History Month

Life requires persistence in order to accomplish things.
During National Women’s History month, we recognize the courage, tenacity, and contributions of women everywhere for voicing and acting on their beliefs.
The third grade attended the musical play She Persisted, based on the book written by Chelsea Clinton. The show featured a young girl named Naomi who travels through time to meet famous change-making women in history, such as Sonia Sotomayor, Harriet Tubman, Sally Ride, and Ruby Bridges.
In our Friday Morning Meeting, some of our students shared the inspiring stories of these women who embraced their differences, which inevitably led them to pursue and achieve their history-making goals.
