We celebrate autumn and the growth cycle unlike anywhere else. Each year, the spirited AVS Parent Group organizes the Harvest Festival to bring our community together to play and share our creativity. Since the festival coincides with Halloween and Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), each person dons an imaginative costume.
This year's Harvest Festival co-chairs, Sabrina Abdey and Rebecca Walsh, coordinated a big blast with relay races, educator dunk tank, haunted house, bounce house, guessing booth, STEAM activity stations, pumpkin decorating station, dance party, cake walk/contest, and much more.
Organizing a festival of this magnitude is no cake walk and requires an army of dedicated volunteers. Huge thanks to more than 100 parents, teachers, staff, and students who put in countless hours to transform our lower school into a magnificent carnival.
