After learning about the in's and out's of trench warfare, students in Mr. Hobbs' America at Arms course spent the last two weeks creating trenches of their own! During this unit on World War I, students researched trench designs, came up with plans and blueprints, and put these beautiful trenches together. Additionally, they learned about what life in the trenches was like by reading select chapters from All Quiet on the Western Front, by Erich Maria Remarque, one of the greatest war novels of all time.
